Truck Sales Consultant – Midlands Truck and Van Coventry

Due to retirement, Midlands Truck and Van are looking for an experienced Truck Sales professional to join their team.

The Role

As a Truck Sales Consultant, you will find you are working with a team that drives the standard in customer care, selling the most technologically advanced trucks in the world.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new Mercedes-Benz Truck encompassing the Atego, Arocs, Actros from 7.5t upwards to current and prospective customers.

You will manage the customers journey, generating your own truck sales leads through prospecting using tried and tested methods but highly encouraged to think outside of the box too.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for identifying new business and building lasting relationships with prospects for new & used vehicles.
  • Well-targeted and continuous planning of acquisition of new customers.
  • Regular usage of CRM System, updating all prospects and client’s information.
  • Working with sales admi & progress team to monitor the progress of all sold orders to ensure that delivery deadlines are met, and all necessary paperwork is in place.
  • Ensure that the demonstrator fleet is effectively used to maximise sales.
  • Explaining differences between Mercedes-Benz heavy goods vehicles and competitors' vehicles; highlighting advantages and TCO.
  • Qualification of customer requirements and sending out professional quotations.
  • Involvement in sales events/ride and drive type events/exhibitions.
  • Upselling of repair and maintenance contracts and DTFS finance offers.
  • Professional vehicle handover, utilise our Handover specialist as and when required.
  • Planning and carrying out regular contact with customers.
  • An understanding of the requirement to sell alternative fuel vehicles, an understanding of charge point infrastructure (how they work, how they’re fed) would be advantageous, though training would be given.)

  • Base salary - £36,000 - £40,000 subject to experience.
  • OTE - £65,000 (uncapped)
  • Pension
