About the role

Van Technician – Trafford ParkeStar Truck and Van Trafford Park are looking for a qualified technician to join their team at their Trafford park, Manchester dealership.They value their employees – and provide:Rewards and benefitsSuperb working conditionsCareer progressionBranded uniform for customer-facing staffFree onsite parkingRegular internal communicationsWellbeing check-insCompany pension contributionThe RoleThe key purpose of this role is to:Act as an expert for all service work and defined assembly and work of the utmost quality and efficiency, and accordingly promotes the brand image with respect to reliability and economy.Defined retrofitting of accessories and preservation work.Support the Systems Technicians in more extensive repair jobs on the overall system.Performance of all services according to the manufacturer's instructions and according to the schedule/Service processor.All visual inspections, adjustment operations, adjustments, operating fluid changes and additions, replacement of worn equipment (e.g. brake linings)Knowledge of deviations and extraordinary wear occurrences and initiation of order expansions/feedback to customersResetting of the maintenance systemCleaning and care of the customer vehicleRepair WorkSelf-reliant performance of simple repairs of worn parts (e.g. replacement of mufflers, outside mirrors, tyres and balancing, etc.)Performance of defined, but also more extensive, assembly work and repair operations in cooperation with and/or under the supervision of systems technicians (e.g. major assembly replacement, suspension strut placement, etc.)Retrofitting and start-up of accessories and detachable body componentsOn OfferThis is a full-time permanent position, working in their modern workshop with excellent facilities. 7am-4.30pmYou will be paid £16.48 per hour, Plus an enhancement payment based upon your qualification level- up to £300 per month!Required Education, Skills, and QualificationsPrior experience in a similar role within the commercial vehicle industry.Full City & Guilds level 3 qualifications required - certified technician in an automotive service field (essential)UK Driving Licence (essential)Our ProcessWhen applying please include a full current CV, once this has been reviewed, we will be in touch to advise if your application will be progressed through to the next stage which will either be an interview with the business or not depending on your experience.
