Carrying out all types of work primarily on LCV and HGV vehicles including aftersales for Mercedes Benz truck and van and MAXUS UK. The workshop provides servicing, general maintenance, MOT preparation, MOT’s PMI’s and PDI’s as well as, Warranty work, roadside breakdowns, tyres, and off-site repair work. The role will include but not limited to:Responsibility for routine servicing and repairs; brakes; gearbox and clutch repairs / replacements; electronic and mechanical fault finding; electrics and all other duties associated with this role.Pre-MOT investigations and MOT TestingCompleting all work assigned daily, ensuring adherence to company and manufacturer standards and agreed time constraints.Completing all necessary diagnostic analyses on vehicles as laid down by company and vehicle specifications.Ensuring that work is always to the highest standard, seeking to achieve consistently high customer satisfaction and repeat business.Carry out and complete administrative tasks including all worksheets, recording hours, parts used, job and defect sheets.Presenting a positive company image through professionalism and quality of serviceMaintain good working relationship with clients.Updating the workshop coordinator with progress on jobs and any additional rectification work requiredWorkload prioritisation with accurate and timely completion of paperworkPromotes and follows a robust H&S culture.Training:Training on the repair and maintenance of Mercedes Benz & MAXUS vehicles included electric vehicles will be provided for the successful candidate.Skill and Experience:Have at least 5 years’ maintenance technician experience working with commercial vehiclesExperience of inspection, repair, and service of LCV / HGVClass 2 Driving License (preferred, not essential)Qualified to City and Guilds 1 + 2 + 3 or NVQ level 3 Motor Vehicle Technician QualificationQualified MOT TesterThe ideal candidate will:Excellent communication skillsEnthusiastic and self-motivatedWork to high levels of efficiency and productivityBe prepared to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basisIf invited to interview, you will need to provide as evidence of your right to work in the UK, the following documents:Passport (plus Gov.UK share code confirming eligible to work in the UK if non UK passport)Driving licence/CPC card/Digi cardProof of Address x 2ORBirth Certificate and National Insurance Number on an official document.Driving licence/CPC card/Digi cardProof of Address x 2Due to the nature of the role, we are not accepting applicants who reside outside of the UK.No Agencies MAR Vehicle Solutions Ltd is part of the fast growing VMS Automotive Group offering a range of services comprising of Contract Hire & Fleet Management, Accident Management as well as offering Maintenance Services from our inhouse workshops and a leading provider of transport refrigeration systems, air conditioning solutions and converting panel vans into commercial, refrigerated vehicles.
