About the role

Location: Rugby, GB, CV21 1DZPosition Type: ProfessionalStarting Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experienceLocation: Rugby (relocating to Coventry in June 2027)Working Hours: 1:30 pm – 10 pm, 40 hrs. per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday cover Please note: Trucks, Technology and Industrial will be relocating from Rugby to Coventry. Candidates should be happy to commute to both sites during the transition period. We are currently in the process of building a state-of-the-art facility in Coventry, where you will support multiple Volvo Group brands. These include Volvo Penta, Renault Trucks, Volvo Trucks and Bus, handling a wide range of parts, from windscreens, truck beds, and engines to smaller components, ensuring the right products reach the right place efficiently and safely. As a shift leader, you will take full ownership for the day-to-day performance of your operational shift, leading a team of 20 warehouse operatives. You will lead the daily warehouse operations and assist in the movement to automation at our new warehouse. Demonstrated strong performance in meeting operational targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentForklift licenses (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, High-Level Order Picker, or similar) with safe operating experience (desirable)Experience with Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners, accurately recording and retrieving dataExcellent communicator across all levels of the business, including internal and external stakeholders.A data-driven mindset with advanced Microsoft Office skills and Power BI knowledge would be advantageousYou are a self-starter who takes initiative, looking for opportunities improve the day-to-day and to develop yourself as well as the team.Fluent in English with a valid UK driver's license.What You Will DoWhen leading the shift, you will encourage open communication that supports employee engagement, feedback and collaborative problem-solving.
