About the role
Adams Morey is seeking an experienced and highly organised Workshop Controller to join our Bournemouth site. This is a key leadership position responsible for the day-to-day control of workshop operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and outstanding customer service.Working closely with the Service Manager, technicians, and service advisors, you will play a vital role in delivering quality repairs and maintenance while maximising workshop performance.Salary: Dependent on experience (will be discussed at interview stage).Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, i.e. 42.5 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch (unpaidOther duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.Key Responsibilities:Plan, control, and coordinate workshop activity to ensure maximum productivity.Allocate work to technicians based on skills and availability.Monitor job progress and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.Liaise with Service Advisors to provide accurate updates to customers.Ensure health & safety and manufacturer standards are adhered to at all times.Support and motivate the workshop team, addressing issues proactively.Contribute to achieving site KPIs and financial targets.Ideally, we are looking for:Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or Senior Technician (commercial or automotive).Strong organisational and leadership skills.Excellent communication and customer service abilities.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Good IT skills and familiarity with workshop management systems.A full UK driving licence.In return we’ll offer:Employee Assistance programMental Health First Aiders within the businessFree Flu jabs if you are ineligible through the NHSFree eye test plus £70 contribution towards glasses for display screen usersEmployee discounts on a range of products and services including holidays, days out and supermarket shops30 days holiday including Bank Holidays rising by 1 day every 5 years capped at 33Free Independent mortgage advice servicePension SchemeSalary Sacrifice (if eligible)Staff EventsFree parkingCycle To Work SchemeCompetitive SalariesCareer development pathways and trainingQuarterly Star Awards Adams Morey is a part of the Greenhous Group which holds a position as one of the leading independent commercial enterprises in the UK.
