Boydell & Jacks integrates spray suppression
Boydell & Jacks, manufacturer of the Featherwing mudguard since 1967, has the ideal solution for operators needing to replace damaged fenders on trailer mudguards – the new rear quarter fender with integrated spray suppression.
Previous plain rear quarters required separate spray suppression to meet EU and UK regulations, but the latest all-in-one unit is totally compliant.
The 100% recyclable part is available in four sizes from 200mm to 370mm to suit all vehicle types.
Sales director Mark Knight says: “We have been manufacturing for nigh-on 60 years and are probably the foremost manufacturer in the UK. Our products are fitted to 90% of trailers built in the UK and we have a big aftermarket coverage too.
“Our new flap and balance arrangement has integrated spray suppression – so if operators knock the rear flap off, they can now just replace that flap. Before, the flap went all the way round and there was a risk of tearing the whole lot off.”
