Ceramex appoints Director of Sales and Marketing and targets growth

With a focus on achieving major growth in 2024, Ceramex, the leading provider of diesel particulate filter (DPF) cleaning and remanufacturing, has appointed Anthony Greatwood as Director of Sales and Marketing.

In this new senior management role for the Reading-based business, Greatwood takes responsibility for driving the company’s sales and marketing activity in the UK and overseas, as demand for remanufactured truck DPFs from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), HGV dealers and major fleets continues to increase.  Ceramex is also expanding its offering across multiple value streams, including off-highway vehicles and plant, marine and rail, which are also subject to stringent emissions legislation.

With a background in automotive engineering, Greatwood joins Ceramex from sister company, Eminox, where he held the role of Global Product Manager for the exhaust emissions system manufacturer’s OEM portfolio.  Prior to this, he held a number of senior sales and product management roles throughout a 28-year career with the business.

Processing over 2,000 DPF units per week from its 67,000 square-foot facility, Ceramex provides customers with a rapid turnaround, contract-based service.  This provides cost-efficiencies through economies of scale, as well as a planned approach to DPF cleaning, which ensures that the vehicles or equipment remain emissions compliant and run efficiently.

Commenting on his appointment, Greatwood said:

“This is an exciting time to be joining Ceramex with demand for remanufactured DPFs continuing on an upward trajectory.  We are also seeing new markets emerge as emissions legislation tightens in all sectors, such as the Stage V standard for off-highway machinery, which focuses on reducing emitted particulate matter from diesel-powered machinery and equipment.  With market-leading and patented DPF cleaning and inspection technology, Ceramex is focused on adding value for customers across all segments and ensuring environmental performance.”

Barney Milles, Managing Director of Ceramex, added:

“We’re very pleased to welcome Anthony to the senior Ceramex management team.  With almost three-decades of industry expertise, Anthony’s insight and knowledge within this specialised field is second to none.  As we continue to expand our DPF remanufacturing offering into new markets and develop our international operations, he will play a pivotal role in establishing new partnerships and increasing our brand presence.”

Ceramex is a subsidiary of Hexadex, a privately-owned group of engineering companies based in the UK. The company holds IATF16949 certification, as well as ISO9001 and ISO14001.
