L&P Motors named Isuzu Truck’s Authorised Repairer for Jersey

After moving into a fully refurbished 20,000 sq ft facility, the company is perfectly positioned to deliver full-service maintenance support both on site and via its dedicated mobile repair team.

With close to 40 years of combined industry experience, Leo Gomes and Piers Little launched L&P Motors with a single van in 2020, carrying out mobile repairs around Jersey. Since then, the company has experienced rapid growth as it became increasingly established and well-respected on the island.

Gomes says: “We have worked from multiple facilities over the last few years, including operating out of two separate locations simultaneously, which was why we jumped at the opportunity to move into this new, larger, site. Now, we have the perfect space to bring the team back together and support the continued growth of the business.”

The move to the newly refurbished workshop was a key factor in L&P Motors’ selection by Isuzu Truck for Authorised Repairer status. Working on the manufacturer’s full range of commercial vehicles, the team will now have access to all of Isuzu Truck’s aftersales systems, parts, and its technician training school.

“As Isuzus are so well suited to the Channel Islands, thanks to their compact size and proven reliability, we were already frequently supporting customers with their vehicles across the island. Now with Isuzu’s support, and as an Authorised Repairer, we will be able to deliver an even better level of service,” adds Gomes.

The new site – formerly held by Rabeys Commercial Vehicles – includes two large workshops featuring six commercial vehicle bays and three heavy-duty column lifts and is equipped to provide maintenance and repairs for all types of commercial and non-commercial vehicles.

L&P Motors currently employs 12 staff, including two apprentice mechanics. Together, the team is committed to delivering unrivalled customer care.
