As part of our ongoing commitment to creating future-ready, environmentally responsible dealerships, we’ve transformed our flagship Darwen site into one of the UK’s most eco-friendly showrooms. Alongside solar panels, electric vehicle charging and energy-efficient LED lighting, we’ve introduced something a little different — our very own colonies of ‘Merce-BEES’.

What started two years ago with 320,000 bees has now grown to an incredible 640,000 across our sites, helping to support local biodiversity through pollination while producing honey sold in support of our charity partners, East Lancashire Hospice and Eden Valley Hospice.

Our sustainability journey has seen a £400,000 investment at Darwen alone, contributing to a wider £3.5 million redevelopment across our sites in Darwen, Bolton, Dumfries and Carlisle. This includes solar energy installations reducing our reliance on the grid by 40%, EV charger rollouts across all locations, and electrifying 90% of our fleet.

The MAR20X programme has enabled us to reimagine the entire customer journey — creating modern, digitally integrated spaces with dedicated reception, consultation and vehicle handover areas to deliver a seamless and personalised experience from the moment our customers arrive.

Looking ahead, we’re continuing to invest in faster EV charging, battery storage technology to support 100% green energy at our Dumfries site, and expanding our beekeeping initiative even further.

At Ciceley, we remain committed to continuous improvement — not only for our customers and colleagues, but for the communities and environments we’re proud to be part of.
