TAKING GOOD COUNSEL – PERTH & KINROSS TURN TO HARSH FOR THEIR NEW HOOKLOADER AND TRACTOR KITS
The first time the Council has taken HARSH products, all have been fitted to Volvo chassis – the hookloader being a 32t 8×4 FMX with the two tractors being FH 6x4s, this duo being used with walking floor trailers employed to shift bulk waste to recycling centres.

Allison Brown, Assistant Fleet Manager for Perth & Kinross comments “HARSH has built up an excellent reputation with truck operators in Scotland for the reliability and durability of its products, which are particularly well suited to arduous applications such as waste handling and environmental services. HARSH and Volvo have worked closely together to give us optimum vehicles that meet our requirements exactly. Both companies also have premium levels of aftersales support too, which gives us full confidence for a long and highly productive service life.”

Colin Hayes, Business Development Manager for HARSH in Scotland notes “It’s been a pleasure to supply these new trucks to Perth & Kinross Council, and in particular to work closely with Euan Tolson, Key Accounts Manager at Volvo, to get the specifications exactly right. The wet kits on the tractors were individual installations built around bespoke tank sizes to suit the available chassis space, as well as having a simple, practical pipework layout specifically designed to work with walking floor trailers.

We at HARSH always welcome the opportunity to work closely with truck manufacturers and their dealers, as the end result is always the best possible truck for our customers.”
