Verta Logistics Ltd Enters Construction Haulage Market with First Renault Trucks C Range

Great Yarmouth-based Verta Logistics Ltd has officially launched operations with the delivery of their first-ever vehicle: a Renault Trucks C Range 4×2 rigid, purpose-built with an insulated tipper to serve both aggregate and asphalt contracts.

The milestone marks a significant step for the newly formed business as it establishes itself within the construction and materials transport sector.

Director, Harpreet Kaur Brar, who founded Verta Logistics with her husband Harjeet Singh, to support major construction supply chains across East Anglia and beyond, has positioned the company for rapid growth. With strong regional development and increasing demand for reliable construction logistics, the new operator sees high potential across Great Yarmouth and the GY-London corridor.

Equipment Chosen for Durability, Safety and Compliance

Although Verta Logistic initially planned to start with a used vehicle, a conversation with RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) and Holcim at a sector event led to a change of direction. After reviewing Holcim’s operational requirements and the specification of the C Range, the business opted for a brand-new truck.

The Key reasons for selecting the Renault Trucks C Range included:

  • Insulated Tipper Body for asphalt and aggregate flexibility
  • Advanced safety systems, including additional integrated cameras, Hill Start Assist and Anti-rollaway technology
  • High reliability and reduced downtime with new equipment
  • Market Leading Comfort, with the Renault Trucks Comfort bunk package
  • Full alignment with Holcim’s vehicle standards and compliance expectations

Driver comfort played an important role in the decision making, with husband, Harjeet Singh, an experienced tipper driver, and fellow director, endorsing the C Range based on its performance, build quality and cab environment.

“A new truck gives us the reliability and compliance our customers expect”, said Harpreet. “Starting with the right equipment sets the standard for our business”.

FORS Bronze Completed, Silver on the Horizon

Verta Logistics has completed its FORS Bronze audit, with plans to quickly progress towards FORS silver accreditation. This will enable future night work and support large-sale Holcim projects.

Harpreet brings a strong compliance mindset from her first career as an optometrist, where regulation and process are essential. This approach now underpins the operational ethos at Verta Logistics.

“In construction haulage, compliance isn’t optional,” Harpreet said. “My background has really helped us build a culture where doing things correctly and safety comes first”.

A Family Foundation with Industry Expertise

The company is new, but the industry knowledge is not. Harpreet’s family has extensive experience in commercial vehicles: both her brothers are transport managers; her elder brother now advises her as she builds the new logistics venture. Their combined expertise continues to guide Harpreet’s operational decisions.

She also completed the Transport Manager exam herself, motivated partly by supporting her husband, Harjeet’s long-term goal of operating his own fleet.

Strong Support from RH Commercial Vehicles

RHCV’s Andy Cross, provided hands on support from specification guidance through to setup, helping Verta Logistics prepare for its first weeks on the road.

Paul Pearson, Commercial Director of RHCV commented: “We are delighted to support Verta Logistics as they enter the construction haulage market with their first truck. Harpreet and her team have taken a highly professional, compliance-focused approach from the outset and the C Range is an excellent fit for the demanding environments they will be working in. We look forward to continuing our partnership as we support them further in building their dream.”

Looking Ahead: Growing the Fleet

The delivery of its first truck marks the beginning of Verta Logistics’ growth journey. The business aims to expand as it scales operations and takes on larger regional contracts.

“What excites me most is seeing the dream turn into a reality,” Harpreet said. “Two years ago, this was just an idea, now we’ve launched Verta Logistics and put our first truck to work. There’s a lot more to come”.
