This approval means that customers purchasing the Yutong TE7 can now benefit from a 20% saving, up to £16,000 on the vehicle purchase price, making the transition to zero emission transport even more accessible and cost-effective.
The grant is designed to support operators in switching to cleaner, greener vehicles by reducing upfront costs of electric trucks.

Customers of Rightech, the electric truck and midi-bus division of zero-emission leader Wrightbus, can now save up to £16,000 off the purchase price of its market-leading 7.5 tonne truck after the company was approved for the latest round of plug-in grants.
Volvo Trucks has become the first truck manufacturer in the UK to have four different models of low emission vehicle approved for the Government’s plug-in grant of up to £25,000 on new registrations, including the International Truck of the Year 2024-winning Volvo FH Electric.
Originally reported on our sister publication Motor Transport, Government should urgently reform its outdated Plug-in Truck Grant to reflect the progress made in developing new zero emission truck technology and to help cut CO2 by 18.8 m tonnes a year, according to a report by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
