Bellshill based –Covering the Central Belt of Scotland
Full-Time – Permanent

Overview:

We are looking for a Contract Hire & Rental Manager to join our team at Bellshill. If you are an experienced sales professional with relevant industry/commercial vehicle knowledge then this is an exciting opportunity for you to bring your skills and experience to a highly innovative global brand in the world of commercial vehicles, Renault Trucks.
A passion for delivering the highest levels of customer service is imperative for this role. You will be building relationships with both existing and new customers which will result in you growing and developing the Contract Hire and Rental Sales Operations. You will be monitoring and where necessary, improving customer satisfaction. You will have full autonomy for the day to day running and management of the fleet operations, utilising the ‘Autoline’ system to ensure operational and legislative compliance. You will also be providing administrative support to the Commercial Sales department for the New Vehicle ordering process. You will support in achieving revenue targets for contract hire, short term rental, contract renewals and extensions. This is a varied and rewarding role.

Job Role:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the contract hire and rental sales operation, ensuring that the fleet is legally compliant and profitable.
  • Control and manage costs and credit control to maximise profitability.
  • Actively prospect for new business, both with existing and new customers.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers.
  • Provide accurate and financially sound quotations to customers, taking their specific requirements in to consideration.
  • Liaise with bodybuilders to manage vehicle build schedules and organise vehicle movements
  • Maintain & update the customer relationship management system
  • Provide administrative support for raising contract documentation, renewing RFL and managing PCN’s
  • Provide vehicle registration, sales administration, and invoicing support
  • Process invoices and credits for the Rental / Contract Hire department
  • Update sales files and customer quotation documentation
  • Liaise with all areas of the business to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
  • Meet with key internal contacts for regular business review meetings
  • Maintain regular contact and develop strong working relationships with the Market Company, external Industry Bodies, Customers, Operators and Suppliers.
  • Attend conferences or customer events as and when required, this may include events outside of normal working hours.

Who are you?

  • Relevant sales experience and a good understanding of the sales process
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Ability to construct sales proposals
  • A great negotiator who can rely on their influence to gain commitment
  • Self-motivated with great time management skills
  • Working knowledge of commercial vehicle finance methods
  • A first-class communicator with excellent presentation skills
  • Great team player with a positive attitude towards problem solving
  • Proficient in MS Office systems with an ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • UK driving licence
