General Manager - Basingstoke
Hours: Monday – Friday 40 hours per week
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 OTE

A new opportunity has arisen to join the business as a General Manager at our dual site in Basingstoke to manage and control the efficient running of the site’s day to day, support and develop the staff and continue to improve customer satisfaction and deliver the highest standards of service.

Identify opportunities to improve processes and ensure that all KPIs and financial measures are achieved in line with agreed performance levels.

To communicate carefully and appropriately to attain all company goals and to delight our customers. To constantly look for business opportunities for the company.

What you’ll do:

Responsible for the day to day site management for our dual Basingstoke site including the trucks service departments P&L, budget and KPIs, Parts department and administration.
Comply with all dealership and company quality/environmental standards and processes.
Management and control of all WIP, warranty, contracts and debtors.
Aftersales marketing in conjunction with the Contract Sales Specialists.
Ensure the service team receive all necessary training so that customers continue to receive the highest standard of service.
Maintain and build positive working relationships with customers and ensure deadlines are met.
Support with sales, supplier and internal invoice queries
Ensure that DAF dealership standards and KPI’s are achieved.
Ensure that both branches are fully compliant with all health and safety measures and operatewithin the guidelines set out in the company health and safety policy.
To maintain and build positive working relationships with DAF.
Seek opportunities to identify and implement improvements to operational work practices and processes into service department
To build an effective team with a positive attitude in line with the company values
To work closely with both sites to create the team culture

The post holder may also be asked to support and undertake other related duties not listed in this Job Specification from time to time according to the needs of the business.
