Job details

We are recruiting for a People & Culture administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a hybrid role that allows you to manage your time, however we tend to go into our newly refurbished Head Office in Swindon 1 day a week. The hours are 20 hours and can be worked flexibly across the week, ideally to cover Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, but this can be discussed at interview stage.

You will provide administrative support across the full range of People duties. Provide hands on day-to-day administrative support to the People team and all Employees to enable effective people management across all levels. Support daily People activities and assist in coordinating HR policies, processes and relevant documents.

You will join People Operations, Payroll & Reward and the Learning & Development team to play a key role in the day to day running of the People & Culture function. You will work alongside a friendly team and report to the People and Culture Operations Manager but it is important that you are also comfortable working autonomously.

More specifically your role will include (but not limited to):

  • Provide efficient, accurate and timely administration
  • Administer the new starter process, including recruitment, offer letters, contracts and references
  • Administer the leavers process including exit interviews
  • Keep all org design documents up to date with starters, movers and leavers
  • Complete references for ex-employees
  • Update employee records and process any employee changes to terms and conditions, including associated administration and updating HRIS
  • Maintain the HRIS and the documents within it
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes including suggestions for automating, simplifying and standardising
  • Assist with HR project work as required

In order to be the ideal candidate for us, we are looking for a team player that ideally has experience of working in a busy People function in an administration role, with knowledge of contract production and change letters effecting employee lifecycles. You may have experience of administering recruitment processes and procedures.

You may not be HR qualified but we would love it if you wanted to work towards your level 3 CIPD, which we will fund if the role becomes permanent.

Given the nature of Employee Relations cases you may be presented with, your natural style should be discreet, approachable, confident and empathetic as well as informative.

Due to the size of our team, we have to work quickly and effectively, often juggling multiple tasks, so you would really thrive if working in a busy environment is how you like to work.

We would really love it if you had the ability to use your own initiative, take ownership of your work but recognise when to escalate issues whilst understanding the need to prioritise your workload.

As well a competitive salary and the chance to work in a flexible way, we offer 25 days holiday(pro-rata) - with the chance to buy more, an annual bonus, access to a company loan car scheme, full employee assistance services and other flexible benefits.

Additional Benefits

  • Bonus Scheme
  • Company Car
