A new opportunity has been created at Daimler Buses UK Ltd for a Service Advisor.

The Role

Working within a team, your role will be to manage the complete service experience for their Bus and Coach customers, from first contact to vehicle handover and return. You will schedule work to meet their customers’ requirements in line with the resource capacity of their workshop. The work orders you will raise are to include full details of the scope of work required to be undertaken by the technicians, therefore a basic technical knowledge of commercial vehicles would be a great advantage to you. You will be required to provide costings, estimates, and payment details to customers in advance of any work being undertaken on their vehicles. In cases of warranty claims, you will need to follow the complete warranty process, ensuring that all approvals are in place prior to any work commencing. Other necessary tasks include general administration as well as retail invoicing when required to support the team.

About You

You will have previous customer service experience from a service centre or workshop background along with basic technical understanding of commercial vehicles, or automotive knowledge in general. You will have the ability to work in a highly demanding, customer-focused, administrative, process-driven environment and be adept in understanding and using a variety of IT software programs.

On Offer

A competitive salary of between £28,000 and £35,700 depending on experience with a shift allowance and annual performance bonus.
  • A working week of 39 hours, Monday to Friday, worked between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm on a rotating shift basis.
  • 33 days holiday per year including statutory holidays.
