Holderness-based Johnson & Saunt has recognised the contribution of one of its longest-serving employees with the acquisition of a new Volvo FH Lite 500 6x2 pusher axle tractor unit, the business’s first truck from the manufacturer since the 1980s.
Einride AB, a technology company driving the shift to cost-efficient autonomous and electric freight, and DAF Trucks, a leader in truck manufacturing, today announced a joint initiative to integrate Einride’s autonomous driving system, Einride Driver, into DAF’s premium vehicle platform.
DAF Trucks has made further changes to its senior management, with Louis Jones being promoted to the position of Marketing and Business Intelligence Director. The news follows the appointment of James Stewart as UK Sales Director for DAF Trucks UK & Ireland earlier in 2026.
