Job Description

Job Title – Group Procurement Manager
Job type: Permanent, Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Stevenage
Salary pa. up to £45,000

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function.

Reporting to the Central Services Director the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a diverse Group portfolio including both indirect and direct products across all our divisions. And will aid and support in the development and implementing best practices to optimize sourcing, cost efficiency, and supplier relationships.

Experience and skills:

  • Experience in both Direct and Indirect procurement
  • Demonstrated experience of cost reduction and value engineering
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, commercial and negotiation skills
  • Experience working in a service-oriented organization with demanding customers
  • Ability to work on multiple workstreams at the same time
  • Adhere to agreed priorities, procedures and processes
  • Able to work to challenging deadlines
  • Strong skills in Planning, leading and managing projects
  • Fast learner and inquisitive

The ideal candidate:

  • Robust understanding of end-to-end procurement process
  • Able to work to high standards, and adhere to agreed priorities, procedures
  • and processes
  • Getting new contracts in place in line with the contract expiry calendar
  • Effective decision maker
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and change whilst maintaining the tenacity and perseverance required to achieve the required objectives.
  • Flexible and able to deliver pragmatic solutions which work on the ground.
  • Previous industry experience within automotive/fleet business would be advantageous.
