Job Title – Group Procurement ManagerJob type: Permanent, Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per weekWork Location: Hybrid remote in StevenageSalary pa. up to £45,000Benefits:Company car, 22 days per annum rising to 23/25 days on length of service plus usual bank holidays, Employee referral scheme offering £300 - £500 depending upon role, Discount on vehicle hire, Specsavers Eye care vouchers, Perkbox benefits and discounts with selected automotive companiesJob Description:We are seeking an experienced and driven Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function.Reporting to the Central Services Director the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a diverse Group portfolio including both indirect and direct products across all our divisions. And will aid and support in the development and implementing best practices to optimize sourcing, cost efficiency, and supplier relationships.Experience and skills:Experience in both Direct and Indirect procurementDemonstrated experience of cost reduction and value engineeringExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsStrong analytical, commercial and negotiation skillsExperience working in a service-oriented organization with demanding customersAbility to work on multiple workstreams at the same timeAdhere to agreed priorities, procedures and processesAble to work to challenging deadlinesStrong skills in Planning, leading and managing projectsFast learner and inquisitiveThe ideal candidate:Robust understanding of end-to-end procurement processAble to work to high standards, and adhere to agreed priorities, proceduresand processesGetting new contracts in place in line with the contract expiry calendarEffective decision makerAble to deal with ambiguity and change whilst maintaining the tenacity and perseverance required to achieve the required objectives.Flexible and able to deliver pragmatic solutions which work on the ground.Previous industry experience within automotive/fleet business would be advantageous.
