As a Service Market Director, you will provide leadership, coaching and support in the implementation of our focus areas and key objectives, to deliver on our strategic ambitions and build a high-performance culture that delivers a best-in-class experience for our colleagues, customers, and the business. You will be responsible for optimising and continually improving all aspects of the Service Market business, developing high performing teams to help drive sustainable performance and business transformation. You will develop a collaborative pro-active focus on strengthening business partnerships through delivery of premium customer service and experience that makes Volvo the partner of choice, in turn strengthening loyalty. Innovative in your approach, you will develop a digital dealer way of working to make jobs easier, more efficient and improve service to customers. With your team at the heart of every decision, you will foster a culture of caring for colleagues, to look after customers which will in turn look after the business.

Key responsibilities:

Develop capacity and competence across our dealerships to support the growth ambitions of the business and secure that our teams can deliver premium service that meets and exceeds our customers expectations Identify and develop talent for the future to secure transformation and future sustainability. Leading the way with talent & succession planning to be spoilt for choice. Listen on all levels developing leadership across the region pushing authority to information. Encourage Open, Honest and Transparent dialogue across the region, being visible and engaging with colleagues across all levels, understanding the main themes from our annual pulse survey and taking action through your team to ensure colleagues are respected, have an interesting job and would recommend Volvo as an employer. Strengthen and secure consistency in our culture to demonstrate that health, safety, and well-being of our people is valued and prioritized by every member of the team. Build close relationships and maintain contact with key service market customers Develop plans and objectives with local service market teams that are aligned to our vision and strategy Develop challenging but realistic plans to capture profitable growth opportunities, develop market share and sustain retail financial excellence. Engage the Service Market Teams in local and collaborative activities to drive the sales of parts and labor and work cross functionally to sell the total business Be an ambassador for continuous improvement in all service market activities by encouraging ideas and open dialogue within teams to remove non-value adding activities and explore new ideas Be innovative with the Service Market Teams, encouraging new ways of working to attract and retain colleagues who are the best in their field. Contribute to the SMT working collaboratively across functions to deliver our objectives and strategy for the region Secure that standards within, and of, our dealer facilities and teams reflect the brand image and required standard of Volvo Trucks Work closely with Market Company to ensure that the best offer is received by our customers, improving performance and customer satisfaction. Build effective partnering relationships both internally and externally for continued business improvement. Lead the way with Diversity and Inclusion ensuring our Service Market sites are reflective of the communities in which we serve. Any other duties that may be reasonably requested by your manager.

Education & experience:

Educated to Bachelor's Degree level or equivalent experience. Proven track record of being pro-active and a self-starter Excellent communication skills with an ability to challenge and give feedback across all levels Calm and Effective under pressure with a pragmatic and open approach Role model of people leadership skills Experience of operating at a senior level within a high performing team Understanding of GDPR and experience working with confidential and sensitive data
