Your Role

The Daimler and FUSO FASTTrack Truck Sales Consultant programme does not just meet the current, but also the future needs of the Daimler Truck UK network.

This accelerated training programme provides a solid foundation into Daimler AG, Daimler Truck UK Ltd and all Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle products, along with a sound grasp of systems, processes, and sales techniques, ultimately establishing you as an industry-respected, professional Truck Sales Consultant, with a Daimler recognised qualification.
Working as part of a cohort, this 6 – 8-month course will immerse you in the world of Daimler Truck UK Ltd, whether you are joining from within or outside the truck industry. You will learn the origins and history of our products from the beginning to the latest innovations and technology, with ‘hands-on’ experiences with our products and experiencing our industry-leading safety technology. You will be able to meet and network with key staff and departments across DTUK and the Dealer network.

You will also be shadowing Truck Sales Consultants and spending time in each area of the business to gain an understanding of how the whole business operates, which will then support you in your role as a Truck Sales Consultant.

The Programme

Throughout the programme, you will be set various research and presentation assignments designed to further develop your knowledge and experience of the truck sector. Topics may include:

  • DTUK competitor analysis
  • Vehicle technology
  • The history of the transport industry
  • Analysis of our Dealers’ competitors’ sites
  • Truck sales case studies, role play and our product range
  • eMobility – competitor analysis and infrastructure research

You will receive regular feedback on your progress throughout the programme both from your trainers within DTUK and your leaders within the Dealer Network.

At the end of the FASTTrack Truck Sales Consultant Programme, you will complete the Daimler Truck UK C (Certified) Sales Consultants Assessment with a view to attaining Certified status. You will be provided with an analysis of their performance and ongoing development needs.

Successful completion of the end of programme assessment brings the FASTTrack Truck Sales Consultant Programme to a close, however further ‘on the job’ training, and continued professional development courses are encouraged. This ongoing support will ensure you continue to develop your skills to become a highly trained and experienced Daimler Truck professional.

This role will be a great fit for you if:
